Investigation Summary

Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset, established as a House of Correction in 1625 and closed in 2013, is one of England's oldest prisons and now a heritage and "dark tourism" site. It is marketed as among the most haunted prisons in the country, with reports of a "White Lady," cold spots, footsteps and shadow figures gathered mainly on ghost events. Recorded by PRN as a reported/folkloric case — historical context, not proof.
