Investigation Summary

Malahide Castle at Malahide, County Dublin, was held almost continuously by the Talbot family from 1185 to 1976. The Cromwellian interregnum (1649–1660) saw the castle granted to regicide Miles Corbet, who was executed at Tyburn on 19 April 1662. The castle contains the 1475 Great Hall, Georgian drawing rooms described as 'a masterpiece of 18th-century Irish design,' and a Jacobite portrait collection.

It was purchased by Dublin County Council in 1976 and is open to the public. All ghost legends are without primary or archival sourcing.
