Investigation Summary

Highwic is one of New Zealand's finest surviving Carpenter Gothic timber houses, located in Epsom, Auckland. Built in 1862 for merchant Alfred Buckland, it was extended three times by 1884 and occupied by the Buckland family until 1978. It is now a Category I heritage-listed historic house museum.

Paranormal claims — a bedroom apparition, a ghostly black dog, and a child presence in the dairy cellar — are reported by named spokeswoman Cheryl Laurie and an anonymous former security officer, but all carry low confidence.
